Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina to star in next “Despicable Me” film

Breakthrough Hollywood/GOP Alliance

In a rare case of Hollywood and the GOP coming together, Variety reported today that Universal Pictures announced that the next release of their Despicable Me franchise, Despicable Me 3, will feature the voices and animated images of Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina.

According to Variety, the Despicable Me creative team made the decision to scrap the original storyline for Despicable Me 3 after seeing Senator Cruz and Ms. Fiorina on stage together at a campaign rally in Miami where Ms. Fiorina endorsed the senator for president.

“It was one of those ‘I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before’ creative inspirations,” said Donatella Devereaux, spokesperson for NBCUniversal. “After all, when you think about the most despicable people in the world, who comes to mind -- Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina.”

While plot details have not been finalized, it is expected that the Minions, the small, yellow creatures who have existed since the beginning of time and who were featured in the Despicable Me spin-off/prequel, Minions, will be included in the new film.

Casting for the roles of the Minions was not revealed but it anticipated that the Minions will be played/voiced by Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Lindsay Graham, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, John Kasich, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum and Scott Walker.

It is rumored that Donald J. Trump is also being approached for a role as a Minion in the film. But Trump’s spokesperson, Katrina Pierson, claimed that while Mr. Trump didn’t know anything about Despicable Me or Minions, he disavowed them anyway.

Ms. Pierson went on to say, “In any event, when the film is released Mr. Trump will be busy being President, building walls, deporting Mexicans, stopping Muslims from entering the country, tearing up trade agreements and doing all those other presidential things so appearing in a film would be unseemly, un-Presidential.
