Warriors Draymond Green Records 3rd Consecutive Triple-Double

NBA vows to take action

The Golden State Warriors’ power forward, Draymond Green, recorded his third consecutive triple-double (10 or more points, rebounds, assists) in the Warriors win against Charlotte last night. Green’s accomplishment overshadowed the return to injury free play of MVP Stephen Curry, who scored 30 points, shooting guard Klay Thompson’s 30 points (his 12th game with at least 20 points in the past 15 tries), the return from injury of forward Harrison Barnes, who hasn’t played since November 27, and the Warriors 35th consecutive regular season home game win.

When asked to comment on Green’s performance, a clearly troubled NBA commissioner Adam Silver said, “I’m clearly troubled by what Draymond Green is doing, He’s completely diminishing the importance of the triple-double. I will be convening a meeting of the NBA Rules Committee at the earliest opportunity where we will consider eliminating the triple-double as a statistic, substituting in its stead the triple-triple.” Silver went on to say, “Make no mistake, we cannot have people like Draymond Green continue to impugn the integrity of the NBA with these kinds of performances.”
